Daily Show correspondent Michael Che tries to find a safe place to report from.

jonghyun is a huge douchebag and he’s really superficial and pretty much an awful person. don’t become this person’s fan because he will ruin your life.

it kinda felt like a good time to bring this back + add on to it, so:

  • is just as welcoming and warm toward his male fans as his female. (as he should be)
  • when university student kim eun ha was trying to get an open letter she wrote about the intolerance, abusive and bullying she’s faced at her school, jonghyun changed his profile photo on twitter to a picture of her letter, ultimately revealing his support of the lgbtqia community. now, the dude doesn’t deserve a cookie for being a decent human being but it was the way that he approached eun ha privately with respect and concern over both: a) not wanting to draw negative or overwhelming attention to her and b) not wanting to steal any spotlight from her, that stuck out the most.
  • when shinee’s manager yelled at fans to stop taking photos of the group after a performance jonghyun “yelled" back at them to keep on taking as many as they wanted to.
  • when jjong played a rough copy of “gloomy clock” for iu she loved it so much that she asked him to personally sell it to her. jjong immediately denied her offer for cash and told her that he’d give it to her for free, essentially.
  • he vehemently (like…really) went out of his way to both promote and show how proud he was of taemin when he debuted as a solo act. he even cried about it apparently like taemin was a baby bird flying free from his nest for the first time or something.
  • before officially doing the asl ice bucket challenge he made sure to emphasis at multiple times how important it is to keep the origins of the challenge/awareness of what it means high.
  • he grumbles to his dog when he’s had a bad day, okay??? and also this.
  • he wants to encourage, inspire and be there for people all the time.
  • when he was in the midst of recording a show in the dead of winter he bought and prepared coffee for his fans/fansites watching.
  • when onew hurt himself during “everybody” promotions he did his best to take care of him at a recording (both explicitly and quietly).
  • he always goes out of his way to promote labelmates, examples being: f(x) during their “red light" promos (he also promoted then via twitter for "electric shock" and "rum pum pum pum" and krystal once stated that he bought 10+ copies of their "nu abo" mini), toheart when they debuted, exo, henry, red velvet, tvxq, ect. he’s also given nice compliments to taeyeon and chen, and given sweet shoutouts to sunny/her radio show.
  • he also promotes artists from other companies via his twitter, ie: taeyang, jung joon young, block b, ga in, iu and son dam bi. he’s praised winner too.
  • this too. look @ all that girl group love.
  • he dedicated an entire special section of his radio show to songs that he wrote/composed based on stories that were sent in by fans.
  • he brought light to state of war between israel/the gaza strip via his twitter.
  • he worries about people saying rude shit about him all the time which is exactly what happened and he doesn’t deserve that. :c he takes it to heart. :c

long-distance friendships are terrible because you can’t meet up with them whenever you want and hang out on any given day which is why when i’m president i’m relocating the entire human population into a 10,000,000 story skyscraper that also acts as a bridge from earth to the moon which comes with the added benefit of swinging the moon around like a fucking mace, god damn it’s gonna look so cool. what was i talking about

An Objective Attempt View About Seungri's Accident

So… I am someone who tries to remain objective and have my own judgment and I try to see things as less-biased as possible. I, as a Seungri fan, was disturbed and confused as of how to see his accident and “interpret” what the video showed. But I could not (principally because of the fact I don’t drive myself), so I waited till the weekend to show to my father the video. He used to give driving lessons and is a professional driver and he surely showed me things I have not seen not even noticed all the times I saw the video. He has not even a slight idea the video I showed him was of Seungri nor who he is.

First I asked him the obvious question. Was he speeding? And he literally smiled and told me “No”. He estimates Seungri was going around 47-60 mph. Because the way he crashed onto the black car is too soft (merely a bump) and made a mild-damage to the bumper, opposite as what could have been if he was going faster. Something between the lines “spinning the black car” or “flipping over at the instant of the first crash” said my dad. Or wrecking all his bumper and hood when he first crashed and not until he stamped himself onto the concrete. I showed him images of the black car too, and the way the back bumper is merely but slightly damaged strengths his explanation.

The second usual question between netizens. Was he drunk or under the influence of something? And again the answer was “no”… he says you can notice if someone is intoxicated by the stability of the car. Seungri’s car is not zigzagging and keeps going straight between the line he was driving  until the crash happens, and even then the car keeps going straight and stable. There are no sharp or abrupt movements. Also, he told me, a drunk person has usually bad reflexes and does not tend to  hit the breaks or react as fast as Seungri did as shown in the video.

But the most interesting thing he pointed out is something that’s been ruled out in any report. He noticed it even the first time I showed him the video, and it is that the taxi that was going on the right line next to Seungri’s line actually made a wrong movement and should be considered to. The taxi ate the line during the curve. This movement as he explains to me is something professional drivers call as “blinding the view” or “deceive the perception” (in spanish is something as “cegar la visión”).
It means that the movement the taxi did made it seem as if he was going to cut into Seungri’s line. This movement made Seungri become more aware of the car lights and position (clearly because he got scared of crashing behind the taxi) and ignore for a moment the lines of the street. Because if you drive you know both things can’t be paid attention at the same time, less during night. So what Seungri did to try to dodge the car was (without moving too much the staring wheel as it is not needed when there is still some space between the car and the object to pass) moved to the right, but as he wasn’t aware of the lines of the street did not notice the street was actually turning.
A movement that usually would have ended as Seungri merely changing lines and dodging the car ended in him cutting through all the three lines of the street because obviously the street became “shorter” as it was no longer going straight. Why he did not notice? My dad says that specially during night and curves there tend to be a lot of “visual illusions” and “distractors”. The taxi acted as a distractor and “blinded” Seungri’s perception of the street, so he did all the movement thinking the street was still going the same direction as when he first started moving to the right. Unfortunately it was not and he ended crashing behind the black car and when Seungri noticed it, it was already too late. The impact made both the car bumpers become attached and then everything else happened.
I want to share this interpretation from my father because I think it shows things that some netizens had been so kind to rule out. I don’t want to say by this that Seungri is completely innocent. Actually my father told me that what a driver would have done was merely reduce the speed and then change lines… and the fact Seungri try to pass without hiting the breaks was something a bit dangerous to do… but not reckless or murder-like. And the fact it seems to be in a highway makes it kinda explainable.
Again netizens will believe what they want to believe. I just want to share this opinion that comes from someone completely unbiased. Thank you, and hope this reaches some stubborn eyes and minds.
I’m attaching the video so you can judge by your own eyes. ^^

Favorite GD x J.Estina Outtakes

Anonymous asked: makes me so mad. ppl r treating him like he's the devil, when honestly i think he was only speeding so that he can prepare and make his flight on time. i've been there ... i don't drive but there r plenty of times where i've wanted my cab driver to go a lot quicker so i could catch my plane. ik it's wrong but he was just acting out w/ human emotions. ppl make it seem like this big evil thing on his and yge's part. smfh.

yeah I’m not condoning the speeding but it’s not like regular people have never sped in their lives, right? And thank God the people in Benz car were alright too. So actually the one got hurt the most is himself. I mean look at the video, for God’s sake he could’ve been seriously injured or even dead but I guess no one cares. They hate him more because he’s from YG in which some artists were linked with drugs case, so they’re so sure he must have something to hide other than speeding. They’re so sure he must have been drunk and they don’t even consider other plausible reasons like maybe he wasn’t aware because he was sleepy or exhausted since it was 3.34 AM. Apparently getting off ambulance (to get ready for his flight) equals drunk/high. oh well. /sigh

Anonymous asked: wow. i've just read your post about the whole ambulance thing. Actually I thought the same thing. But the netz make it sounds like he didn't want to be checked by paramedics officer and then 'run away' to his manager car. And they strongly sure it was to clean up his stomatch from alcohon/drug etc.

yeah they’re just so stupid they only believe what they wanna believe even though police already stated that he wasn’t intoxicated and paramedics already checked him thoroughly first before letting him go. ugh..

#SR12UNICEF Project Announcement in Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin

full size: Korean | Japanese | Mandarin

So from the news I read I think this is how it went down, Seungri was like “I think I’m okay, I don’t think I need to go to hospital in ambulance, I just wanna go home cuz I have concerts to attend and my flight leaves in a few hours. See, that’s my manager, he can drive me.” and the medics was like “let me examine you first. *does thorough check on him* ok you can leave.” Then he left with the manager, got prepared for some time and was already on his way to the airport when he felt the abdominal pain so he went to hospital instead. Turned out his liver was bleeding so he had to be hospitalized.

These conspiracy theorists and his haters in general just need to stop saying he wanted to cover up a DUI just by getting off ambulance ugh.. he was NOT intoxicated by alcohol nor drugs according to the POLICE as he was already tested on the spot.

Yes, he’s at fault for speeding and probably he was sleepy too since it was 3.30 AM and yes, it was so irresponsible of him and that can put people and himself in danger too, but IT WASN’T A DUI. Of course he has to pay for fines and all the damages and also get his license suspended just like what  everyone has to do if they’re in that situation.

Just because he’s a celebrity from YG people just jumped into conclusion and hate on him smh..

SectionTV report: Police will have further investigations on whether Seungri was speeding or not after he is recovered. He left the ambulance because he thought he was alright and he had to prepare for concerts in Singapore. But then he had abdominal pain on the way to the airport so he went to hospital.
